Chip n Dip Cookies

- 1 cup butter, softened at room temperature shopping list
- 1/2 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1 egg yolk shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 3/4 cup coarsely crushed potato chips shopping list
- 3/4 cup coarsely crushed pretzels shopping list
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 1 cup white chips shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Add egg yolk and vanilla
- Gradually add the flour and mix well
- Stir in crushed potato chips and pretzels
- Shape level tablespoons of dough into 3 inch logs
- Place on ungreased cookie sheets, 1 1/2 inches apart
- Bake 14-18 minutes, until edges are slightly browned
- Cool completely on baking sheets
- Melt semisweet chocolate chips in microwave, for 30 seconds at a time, stirring frequently, until completely melted
- Dip one end of each log into chocolate and place on wax paper
- Refrigerate until firm, about 10 minutes
- Melt white chips in microwave, 30 seconds at a time, stirring frequently, until completely melted
- Using a fork, drizzle melted white chips over cookies
- Refrigerate until firm, about 10 minutes
