sauteed brussel sprouts
From dbmcdonald 14 years agoIngredients
- 2-3 tablespoons olive oil. I use lemon-infused olive oil of my own making. shopping list
- 15-20 brussel sprouts, enough to fill a 10-inch skillet shopping list
- salt shopping list
- pepper shopping list
- basalmic vinegar, the best you can afford shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Re-cut the brussel sprouts ends
- Slice brussel sprouts in half to create a flat surface.
- Heat olive oil in 10-in skillet. Sprinkle salt on bottom of skillet
- Place brussel sprouts flat side down on skillet
- Saute until soft and bottom of sprouts are carbonized
- When easily penetrated by a sharp fork, place brussel sprouts on a plate which has been liberally sprinkled with basalmic vinegar, so that each half-sprout has vinegar on it
- If lots of leaves of the brussel sprouts fall away in cooking, these can also be further saved and sauteed in more oil to create brussel chips. Also very delicious
