Crab in Coconut Milk

- 3 lbs crabs ( cooked whether steamed or boiled ) shopping list
- 2 Tbsp shrimp paste or small dried shrimps shopping list
- 1 Tbsp fish sauce shopping list
- 1 Tsp garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 medium sized onion, cut into strips shopping list
- a thumb -sized ginger , cut into strips shopping list
- 3 Tbsp cooking oil shopping list
- 4 cups coconut milk ( equivalent to 1 big can) you may use powdered coconut milk shopping list
- 1/2 Tsp ground black pepper shopping list
- 6 pieces finger chilies shopping list
- bunch of spinach shopping list
How to make it
- In a large pot, saute the garlic, onion and ginger.(if you`re using small dried shrimps, include them in sauteing)
- Add the ground black pepper and coconut milk. Bring to boil.
- If you`re using shrimp paste, add them together with the fish sauce. Cook until the coconut milk`s texture is thick and natural oil comes out of it.
- Add the finger chilies and simmer for 2 mins.
- Put the crabs in the pot and mix well until they are nicely coated with coconut milk. Simmer for about 2 minutes.
- Add the spinach and simmer for a minute.
- Serve hot.
