- 1 cup brown or white rice, uncooked shopping list
- 4 Tbsps butter shopping list
- 2 large onions, finely chopped shopping list
- 2 ½ lbs ground chuck shopping list
- ½ lb pork sausage shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 c milk shopping list
- 1 c catsup shopping list
- 1 tbsp salt shopping list
- ½ tsp dried savory leaves shopping list
- ½ tsp black pepper shopping list
- ½ tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley shopping list
- 3 tbsps worcestershire sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Cook rice according to package directions; set aside to cool.
- Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions, and cook until softened.
- Combine rice and onions with all other ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- Shape mixture into size of your choice. I use a small ice cream scoop, and it makes about 1½-inch meatballs.
- Either fry these in the skillet that the onions were cooked in, or place meatballs on a jelly roll pan and bake in a 350F deg oven for about 30 minutes.
- Serve or freeze, as desired.
- PARMESAN MEATBALLS: Mix in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese before shaping the meatballs.
