How to make it

  • This recipe uses a 15oz can of mandarin oranges. Don't drain them.
  • Pour the mandarin oranges into a blender and puree them.
  • Grate the ginger root and zest one small lemon. If you happen to have a clementine orange this is a great alternative. It is what I used but zest of clementine orange is not in the database.
  • Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pan and heat on medium. Stir continuous with a whisk until the sauce thickens a bit.
  • Remove from heat and let cool. Strain sauce to remove any fiber from the ginger and remaining pulp.
