Mandarin Ginger Sauce
From otterpond 14 years agoIngredients
- * 1 1/2 cup mandarin orange shopping list
- * 1/4 cup ginger Root, Raw shopping list
- * 2 tsp lemon zest shopping list
- * 1/2 cup Granulated Baking Splenda shopping list
- * 2 tbsp corn Starch shopping list
- * 1 tsp nutmeg, Ground shopping list
- * 1/4 tsp Ground cayenne shopping list
How to make it
- This recipe uses a 15oz can of mandarin oranges. Don't drain them.
- Pour the mandarin oranges into a blender and puree them.
- Grate the ginger root and zest one small lemon. If you happen to have a clementine orange this is a great alternative. It is what I used but zest of clementine orange is not in the database.
- Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pan and heat on medium. Stir continuous with a whisk until the sauce thickens a bit.
- Remove from heat and let cool. Strain sauce to remove any fiber from the ginger and remaining pulp.
