Quails Eggs in Orange Batter

- 18 - 20 pieces of hardboiled quail`s eggs shopping list
- 1 cup of flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup of Warm water shopping list
- 1 Tbsp of Annatto Powder ( since I wasn`t able to find one here in Japan ...I used paprika Powder instead) shopping list
- 1/2 Tsp of salt shopping list
- 1/2 Tsp of ground black pepper ( reduce to 1/8 Tsp if using paprika Powder ) shopping list
- cornstarch shopping list
- cooking oil shopping list
How to make it
- Place the cornstarch in a bowl and dredge the hardboiled Quail`s eggs then set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Dilute the annatto powder or Paprika powder in warm water. Pour in the mixing bowl of flour. Mix well. Add more warm water if necessary to acquire a nice batter texture.
- Place all the Quail`s eggs in the mixing bowl and gently coat with the batter.
- Heat enough cooking oil in a pan and deep-fry the eggs.
- Cook just until the outer part turns orange. Place the fried quail`s eggs in a paper towel.
- Serve with vinegar.
