How to make it

  • Preheat BBQ to medium-high
  • Place steak on greased grill
  • Cook 4 minutes per side(medium-rare) or to desired doneness
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper
  • Cover with foil and set aside
  • Toss onion, mushroom and pepper with 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Place on grill and cook 7-9min turning occasionally or until tender-crisp and grill-marked
  • Remove from grill
  • Slice mushroom and red pepper
  • Slice bread horizontally
  • Brush cut sides with remaining oil
  • Place cut-side down and cook for 1-2 minutes or until toasted
  • Slice steak thinly
  • In a large bowl, toss steak, onions, mushrooms, peppers and steak sauce.
  • Arrange on the bottom half of bread
  • Place top half on top
  • Press down
  • Cut in 4
  • Serve
