How to make it

  • heat the pan, drizzle in some cooking oil
  • throw in the crushed garlic, chopped onion ,chili, carrot , cumin seeds pinch of salt and pepper
  • stir that through until the onion is browning and your eyes are burning haha
  • next chuck in the mince, break it up and stir it into the mix
  • once the mince has started to cook throw in the capsicum, celery and stir that in.
  • Add the tins of tomato and the paste, mix it in with your wooden spoon adding the bay leaves, mixed herbs and the wine
  • once this is done lower the heat and let it simmer put a lid over the bog,
  • and let it thicken. add more tomato paste to make it thicker.
  • The longer you leave it the better it tastes but if your real hungry 30 mins should do.
  • While your waiting start getting the spaghetti ready.
  • Boil some water add a pinch of salt and chuck the spaghetti in a saucepan.
  • Boil for about ten mins (if you can break the spaghetti between your fingers its ready )
  • strain and serve with the bolognaise, Parmesan cheese and parsley to garnish
  • im hungry time to eat!

    Again...a gem.
    Intervention and experimentation are two key words that come to mind when I read this recipe. In testing the doneness of the spaghetti I was always taught by my Italian Aunt by marriage,if you throw it up against the wall...and it sticks...it's done.
    ~but~
