Chocolate Drops

- 3/4 cup unsalted butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 large eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 tbsp corn syrup shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup Dutch-process cocoa shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup (6 oz.) raisins, dried cherries, or flavored chips of your choice shopping list
- 1 cup (4 oz.) chopped walnuts shopping list
How to make it
- Cream together the butter, both of the sugars, and the eggs
- Mix in the vanilla and corn syrup
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and the salt
- Add the dry ingredients to the bowl
- Mix until combined
- Scrape the bowl
- Mix in the raisins, or chips
- Mix in the nuts
- Scoop by the tablespoon onto prepared baking sheets
- Bake for 8-10 minutes (On the shorter end of the time range if you like them chewier).
- Remove from the oven
- Cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack to cool completely
