How to make it

  • Sterilize jelly jar(s) in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
  • Wash and quarter fruit
  • Put a bowl in freezer to chill
  • Add all ingredients in a large skillet and cook on med. high heat (do NOT use a pot - you need the large surface for proper liquid evaporation)
  • Stir constantly and skim off accumulated foam for about 8 to 10 minutes, until mixture begins to thicken
  • Jam is done when, after a few seconds, a dollop placed in the chilled bowl SLOWLY runs when bowl is tilted
  • Using funnel pour jam into hot, sterilized jelly jar(s), wiping rim before placing seal and ring. Tighten ring and put in boiling water bath, covering jar(s) with 1 inch water, for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from water bath and set aside for 24 hours before touching.
  • Eat and enjoy!
