Chocolate Walnut Biscotti

- 1 package fudge brownie mix (13 x 9 inch size) shopping list
- 3/4 cup crushed walnuts shopping list
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 egg plus 3 egg whites shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Preheat oven to 350
- 2. Combine brownie mix, crushed walnuts, flour, and baking powder in a large mixing bowl
- 3. Whisk egg, egg whites, and vanilla extract in a smaller mixing bowl
- 4. Add to brownie mixture and stir until well combined
- 5. Divide dough into thirds (it will be very sticky) on a greased baking sheet
- 6. Shape each portion into something that resembles a 7 x 3.5 inch rectangle
- 7. Bake for approximately 24 minutes
- 8. Remove from oven
- 9. Let it cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes
- 10. On a cutting board, cut biscotti with a serrated knife into 3/4 inch slices
- 11. Place each piece on its side on greased baking sheets
- 12. Bake approximately 12-15 minutes longer or until firm
- 13. Let the pieces cool on wire racks
- 14. Store in airtight containers
