How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  • Lightly grease (or line with parchment paper) two baking sheets
  • In a medium-size bowl, cream together the shortening, both of the sugars, eggs, vanilla, baking soda, salt, and peanut butter
  • Add the flour.
  • Stir to combine
  • Drop the dough by the tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheets
  • Press down each cookie with a fork to make a criss-cross pattern
  • Bake the cookie for 10 minutes or until they are lightly browned
  • Remove them from the oven
  • Transfer to a rack to cool
