Butterscotch Chews

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 2 tbsp light corn syrup shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 18 to 1/4 tsp strong butter-rum or butterscotch flavor shopping list
- 1/4 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 large egg shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans shopping list
- 1 3/4 flour shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 375 F
- Lightly grease (or line with parchment) two baking sheets
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, syrup, salt, vanilla, butterrum flavor, baking soda, and baking powder
- Add the egg
- Stir in the pecans and the flour
- Drop the dough by the tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheets
- Flatten them to 1/4 inch thick
- Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes or until they are golden brown.
- Remove them from the oven
- Transfer to a rack to cool
