Cherry-apricot Crumble Bars

- 3 cups quick-cooking oats shopping list
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg shopping list
- 3/4 cup, melted shopping list
- 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling shopping list
- 2/3 cup chopped dried apricots shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 350 F
- Line a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with foil, extending the ends of the foil over the edges of the pan by approximately 2 inches
- In a large bowl, combine the oats, flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg
- Add the melted butter
- Toss to combine
- Reserve 1 cup of the crumble mixture
- Press the remaining mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan
- Bake until set, about 12 to 14 minutes
- In a small bowl, combine the pie filling and the apricots
- Gently spread the cherry mixture over the crust
- Sprinkle with the reserved 1 cup crumble mixture
- Bake until lightly browned and bubbly, about 30 to 35 minutes.
- Let cool completely on a wire rack
- Remove from the pan by lifting the foil edges
- Cut into squares to serve
