How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F
  • Line a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with foil, extending the ends of the foil over the edges of the pan by approximately 2 inches
  • In a large bowl, combine the oats, flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg
  • Add the melted butter
  • Toss to combine
  • Reserve 1 cup of the crumble mixture
  • Press the remaining mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan
  • Bake until set, about 12 to 14 minutes
  • In a small bowl, combine the pie filling and the apricots
  • Gently spread the cherry mixture over the crust
  • Sprinkle with the reserved 1 cup crumble mixture
  • Bake until lightly browned and bubbly, about 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Let cool completely on a wire rack
  • Remove from the pan by lifting the foil edges
  • Cut into squares to serve
