  • combine all ingredients in a saucepan, except green pepper. bring to a boil, simmer for 20 minutes. thicken with cornstarch and a little cold water to your own taste. add green pepper last; let stand 3 - 4 minutes.
  • combine all ingredients for tempura batter. prepare chicken breasts and thighs slice into one inch strips. dip chicken strips in tempura batter and deep fry. place cooked chicken on platter serve with rice.
