Mandarin Chicken

- 1 large can tomatoes shopping list
- 1/2 c cider vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 c chopped onion shopping list
- 1 - 1 1/2 c sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp fresh ginger grated shopping list
- 1 tbsp soy sauce shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- dash of cayenne pepper shopping list
- msg to taste shopping list
- 1/2 c crushed pineapple shopping list
- chicken breasts and thighs shopping list
- cornstarch shopping list
- tempura batter shopping list
- 1 c flour shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 c water shopping list
- dash of soy sauce shopping list
How to make it
- combine all ingredients in a saucepan, except green pepper. bring to a boil, simmer for 20 minutes. thicken with cornstarch and a little cold water to your own taste. add green pepper last; let stand 3 - 4 minutes.
- combine all ingredients for tempura batter. prepare chicken breasts and thighs slice into one inch strips. dip chicken strips in tempura batter and deep fry. place cooked chicken on platter serve with rice.
