How to make it

  • drain oranges, set juice aside
  • dice green pepper and onion
  • add cornstarch to water, mix till dissolved
  • add juice, brown sugar, and mustard in small sauce pan. heat to boiling. reduce heat to a low simmer; slowly add water/cornstarch mixture
  • stir until desired thickness; add cornstarch by the teaspoon if it doesn't thicken enough
  • cover and let sit
  • prepare and cook chicken ( i just add olive oil to a pan and cook it for about 15 minutes, flipping sides halfway through until it's done.)
  • add diced green pepper and onion to sauce, stir
  • while the chicken is cooking, i like to make boil in bag brown rice in the microwave, but you can substitute pretty much any grain or potato if you want. i like the flavor and texture of the brown rice more for saucy things.
  • dish out chicken, top with spoonfuls of sauce
  • enjoy!
