Fruity Barbeque Sauce

Back at my family home we have a very old plum tree that gets in the way of everything and is a bit of an eyesore. But we don't chop it down because every year it gives us enough plums to make a couple of jars of lovely chunky jam for our family barbeque sauce recipe. Read more This recipe works with other jams, but having plum skins in there makes spare ribs or chicken lovely and crispy when you smother it on them and grill for a bit! See less
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons home made plum jam (or any jam!!) shopping list
- 2 tablespoons tomato puree or ketchup shopping list
- 2 tablespoons honey shopping list
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon vinegar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder shopping list
How to make it
- Put everything in a small pan. Stir and bring to the boil.
- Spread over meat and grill, or use as a dipping sauce.
