Easy Fresh Tomato Sauce

- 3 Tablespoons of olive oil shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves shopping list
- 1 small onion or 2 Small shallots shopping list
- 4-6 tomatoes, roughly chopped (Mix red and yellow for best results) shopping list
- 1/4 Cup fresh basil, chopped or cut into thin strips shopping list
- Pinch of sugar shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- pasta of your choice shopping list
- Parmasean or Ramano cheese (fresh is always best) shopping list
How to make it
- Saute garlic and onions in olive oil over medium heat until translucent
- Add tomatoes, basil, sugar, salt and pepper to the skillet
- Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally until the tomatoes begin to break down and a sauce forms. (About 15 minutes, but it may take longer if you use all red tomatoes as they have more juice) Be certain to stir at least every few minutes, tomatoes burn easily!
- Combine with the pasta, top with cheese
- Eat
- Enjoy! :)
