- Ingredients: shopping list
- 8 veal shanks shopping list
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- 3/4 cup butter shopping list
- 3/4 cup dry white wine shopping list
- 8 large tomatoes, peeled and chopped shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons grated lemon rind shopping list
- 3 tablespoon chopped parsley shopping list
How to make it
- Preparation:
- Roll the shanks in the flour seasoned with salt and pepper.
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan, and brown the shanks on all sides. Add the wine and cook over a low heat for ten minutes. Add the tomatoes and the garlic, cover and simmer for about 1/2 hour. Before serving sprinkle with grated rind and chopped parsley.
- Note: Serve with Risotto or Polenta
