Marlboro Porcupine Beef

- 1 lb ground beef shopping list
- 1/2 cup uncooked instant rice shopping list
- 2 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 1 1/2 oz pkg dry onion or vegetable soup mix shopping list
- 1/4 cup finely chopped sweet green or jalapeno pepper shopping list
- 14 1/2 oz can stewed tomatoes shopping list
- 12 oz can beer shopping list
- 2 tsp chili powder shopping list
How to make it
- Mix together ground beef, rice, eggs, dry soup mix and chopped pepper. Shape into 6 large balls.
- Combine tomatoes, beer and chili powder in a large skillet or 3-quart baker. Heat to boiling over medium heat or a 350 oven.
- Carefully drop meatballs into hot tomato mixture; cover and simmer or bake for 45-55 minutes. Lift out meatballs and if desired, thicken sauce with 3 TBS flour mixed with cold water. Serve in deep bowls with cornbread or crusty bread.

I have the Marlboro cook book and my family loves this meal. I do thicken the sauce with flour and pour it over the meatballs. YUM!!!
