My Seven Layer Salad

This is one of my all time favorite salads, not only for the joy of eating it, but for the fragrance of the vegetables when making it.
Ingredients
- 1 medium head iceberg lettuce, medium chop shopping list
- 1 medium cucumber, medium dice shopping list
- 2 salad tomatoes, cored and medium dice shopping list
- 1 (16 oz) bag frozen peas, do NOT thaw shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups real mayonnaise + 1/2 cup ranch dressing, combined shopping list
- 1 (8 oz) bag shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1/2 lb bacon, fried, well-drained, crumbled shopping list
How to make it
- Layer the ingredients in a large bowl, in the order given here. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- NOTE: This salad makes an especially nice presentation in a large, straight-sided, clear glass bowl.
