How to make it

  • 1. In a slow cooker combine tomatoes, beans, onion, garlic, celery, bell pepper, bay leaves, chili powder, molasses, bouillon, cilantro, salt and pepper . Cook on high for 3 hours. (I used a pressure cooker for mine-- cooks a lot faster that way!)
  • 2. Dissolve flour in about 1/2 cup hot water. Pour into chili and cook 1 more hour. (or less with a pressure cooker.)
