How to make it

  • chop onion and crush the garlic cloves
  • saute in fry pan until nice and brown
  • cut steak into cubes and brown
  • add salt, pepper and beef stock to pan
  • if using beef stock cubes add 1/2 cup water to pan
  • simmer covered for 10-15 min on low heat
  • add cream and serve
  • from heat and add cream - serve straight away
  • serve with mashed potatoes and vegetables such as green beans and mashed parsnip and carrot or butternut
  • great comfort food in winter yummo
