Holiday Shortbread

- 5 c. flour (I use whole-grain soft wheat) shopping list
- 1 c. sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 2 c. cold butter (no substitutes) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 325 F. You will need a jelly roll pan for best results.
- In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt.
- Cut butter into flour mixture until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
- Pat mixture into an ungreased 15"x10"x1" jelly roll pan (I think my pan might only be 3/4" tall) pressing down well.
- Prick all over the top with a fork.
- Place in oven and bake for 35 minutes or until center is set.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
- Cut into square, then continue to cool to room temperature.
