How to make it

  • Make a white sauce of flour, butter, seasoning, and milk. Add cheese and cook until the cheese melts. Add egg yokls and stir well. Cool. When ready to bake, beat the whites until stiff and fold into the cheese mixture. Pour into a well-buttered baking dish (1/2 to 2/3 full) and bake in a slow to moderate oven until firm and brown. It will require 30-45 minutes at 350 or 60 minutes at 300. Serve at once in its baking dish.
