Homestead Cornbread

- 2 cups Shawnee Best Yellow corn Meal shopping list
- 4 Tablespoons baking powder shopping list
- 1.5 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1.5 Cups milk shopping list
- 2 eggs (unbeaten) shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons melted shortening or oil shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees
- Combine dry ingredients
- Add milk, egg and melted shortening or oil and mix well.
- Pour into well-greased 8 inch square pan
- Bake at 425 degrees for 25-30 minutes
- Yeild: 16 (2 inch) cornbread squares.
