How to make it

  • 1. Cook and stir ground chuck, onion, and green pepper until meat is brown and onion is tender.
  • 2. Stir in remaining ingredients, except spaghetti and Parmesan cheese.
  • 3. Cover; simmer 1-1/2 hours, stirring sauce occasionally.
  • COOKING SPAGHETTI
  • 1 pound Italian style spaghetti.
  • 1 tablespoon salt.
  • 1/4 cup olive oil.
  • 4. Bring 3 quarts of water to a rolling boil.
  • 5. When water comes to boil, add salt, and olive oil, add spaghetti slowly not breaking it.
  • 6. Cook for exactly 7 minutes. Drain immediately and toss with 2 tablespoons butter.
  • 7. Serve spaghetti with a generous amount of sauce. If desired top with Parmesan cheese and garlic bread.
