Spaghetti And Canned Mackerel

Easy to make dish when there's nothing in the cupboard but spaghetti and canned mackerel great money saver.......use macaroni instead of spaghetti or any canned fish in tomato sauce insted of mackerel
Ingredients
- 1 pack spaghetti shopping list
- 1 larged canned mackerel in tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 small onion chopped shopping list
- 1 garlic clove chopped shopping list
- 1 tbsp catsup shopping list
- 1 tbsp tomato paste shopping list
- 1 dash of black pepper shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- 1 tbsp desired cooking oil shopping list
- half lime/lemon shopping list
How to make it
- Boil spaghetti to desired tenderness.....Drain
- In a small cup mix tomato paste and catsup with a little water
- stir till blended
- Saute onion and garlic in oil in a large saucepan until just wilted
- Add canned mackerel and tomato paste mixture
- Stir
- add black pepper and salt to balance taste
- turn off heat and sprinkle with lemon juice
- Great for fish or non-meat lovers
