How to make it

  • Cook the rice according to package directions. Set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Peel and chop the onion, adding it to the skillet as you chop.
  • Add the garlic and nuts, and crumble the garlic cube into the skillet.
  • Cook and stir until the onion and the nuts begin to turn light brown.
  • Meanwhile, rinse the corn and peas under cool tap water to begin defrosting. Drain.
  • When the nuts and onions are brown, stir in the corn and peas. Cook and stir for 1 minute.
  • Add the cooked rice and continue to cook and stir for a minute or so.
  • (You may need to add a little more oil to prevent sticking).
  • Salt to taste if you like.
  • Serve at once.
