How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  • Add butter to the annekoeken pan and place it in the oven
  • In a mixing bowl, add the eggs and mix them well
  • Add the milk and maple sugar and mix
  • Add the flour and mix
  • By now, the butter should be melted and bubbling, so remove the pan carefully (it's hot hot hot!) and pour in the mix
  • Place it back in the oven for 13 minutes
  • After 13 minutes, if the edges aren't brown yet, turn the oven to broil for 1 minute
  • Remove and slide off the pan onto a large plate
  • Cut in half, sprinkle on powdered sugar
  • Thinly slice the banana onto the halves, or use other fruits and nuts - blueberries, raspberries, walnuts work great
  • Sprinkle on more powdered sugar
  • Add a few very light lines of maple syrup - don't smother it like a normal pancake!
  • Enjoy!!!
