How to make it

  • Preheat oven 350.
  • Soften butter in large mixing bowl. Blend in rolled oats and sugar.
  • Add remaining dry ingredients, sifted together. Stir in currants and milk. Mix well.
  • Shape into small balls about 1" in diameter. Place on greased baking sheet about 3" apart, as they will flatten to make thin rich cookies. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from baking sheet and cool.
