How to make it

  • Soak the beans in water for at least 12 hours. You can omit soaking and use a 15-ounce can of white beans (drained).
  • Cook the soaked beans until tender with a bay leaf and 3-4 whole allspice berries . Then add the peeled tomatoes and dried basil leaves, marjoram leaves, black pepper, sweet paprika powder and salt to taste. Cook until boil.Then fry 1 chopped onion and add to the beans. You can also add 4 ounces of fried sausage (polish kielbasa) or beacon.
