Chicken Stock

- remainder of your chicken bones shopping list
- large onion shopping list
- other left over vegies or herbs (friends for the chicken bones) shopping list
How to make it
- In a saucepan, put in all the chicken bones you have, and any other parts of the chicken not eaten.
- Roughly chop up an onion and add.
- Top up with water and bring to boil
- Then immediately turn heat down to 2 or 3 put on the lid and boil for 2 hours.
- Select some clean containers with lids to pour your stock in.
- Use a small mesh sieve to strain the stock from the bones and into the various clean containers.
- Leave to cool and then freeze.
- OTHER TIPS
- You can use an ice-cube tray instead so that you always have access to a small amount of stock when needed.
