Almond Coffee Cake

- 8 oz of cream cheese-room temperature shopping list
- 2 eggs--room temperature shopping list
- 1 tsp. of vanilla shopping list
- 1 tsp. of almond extract shopping list
- 1/4 c. of milk, room temperature shopping list
- 3/4 c. of dried cherries (or other dried fruit) shopping list
- 1/2 c. of unsalted butter, room temperature shopping list
- 1 1/4 c. of sugar shopping list
- 1 1/3 c. of flour shopping list
- 1 tsp. of baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. of baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. of salt shopping list
- TOPPING shopping list
- 3/8 cup sliced almonds shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon shopping list
- 1/3 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 2 tbsp of unsalted butter shopping list
- 1/3 cup flour shopping list
How to make it
- First you preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Now you want to butter a cake pan.
- Now take a bowl and add sugar, butter, and cream cheese,and blend well.
- Then you can add one egg at a time, with vanilla.
- Next you can add eggs(1 at a time).
- You will want to sift dry ingredients using a sifter, going back and forth from adding the milk and sifted ingredients.
- Add cherries.
- Now pour into cake pan.
- Add sprinkled almonds.
- Use your fingers to press into the cake.
- Cook until toothpick comes out clean.
- Serve.
