Bejeweled Banana Cake

- INGREDIENTS: shopping list
- 2 ¼ cup cake flour shopping list
- 1 2/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 ¼ teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 ¼ teaspoon soda shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2/3 cup butter, softened shopping list
- 2/3 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 ¼ cup mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium) shopping list
- 2/3 cup finely chopped fruit glace shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- 2. Grease and flour a rectangle pan, 13x9x2 inches, or two 9-inch or
- three 8-inch round layer pans.
- 3. Measure all ingredients into large mixer bowl. Blend ½ minute on
- low speed, scraping bowl constantly. Beat 3 minutes high speed,
- scraping bowl occasionally.
- 4. Pour into pan(s).
- 5. Bake rectangle pan for 45 to 50 minutes, layers 35 to 40 minutes
- or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- 6. Cool.
- 7. Frost as desired.
