Church Supper Casserole

- 2 lbs ground beef, browned and drained shopping list
- 4 lg potatoes, peeled, cut into thin slices or small pieces shopping list
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups sour cream shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- ground pepper shopping list
- Cheddar cheese, sliced or grated shopping list
- corn flakes, crushed shopping list
How to make it
- In a good sized buttered baking dish put a layer of 1/3 of the potatoes, then 1/2 the meat, 1/3 of the potatoes, remaining meat, and top with potatoes. (3 layers of potatoes and 2 of meat.)
- Combine the soup, milk, sour cream, salt and pepper well; this makes the sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the potatoe and meat layers. Top the dish with generous slices of Cheddar cheese; top with the crushed corn flakes.
- Place in a 350 oven for at least an hour. Be sure the potatoes are thoroughly cooked. Do not cover.
