How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Layer bread, chicken, mushrooms and water chestnuts in a 9 x 13 pan
  • Mix together: mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, mayonnaise and pimento. Pour over chicken and top with slices of American cheese
  • Beat eggs and milk and pour over everything and refridgerate overnight.
  • Bake 350 (325 for glass) For 1 hour and 15 minutes
  • Sprinkle with Pepperidge Farm Herb stuffing mix and dot with butter.
  • Bake another 15 minutes
