I love beets! I can eat them straight from the can. The original recipe for this called for 1/3 cup of vinegar, but that was a bit much for us, so I cut it back for our family..

- dash salt and pepper

Ingredients

1 can(s) sliced beets, drain but save juice shopping list
1/2 c sugar shopping list
1 Tbsp cornstarch shopping list
1/4 c cider vinegar shopping list
dash salt and pepper shopping list
reserved beet juice shopping list

How to make it

Mix sugar & cornstarch in a medium-sized saucepan. Add vinegar, salt, pepper & beet juice. Cook on medium-low heat until thickened. Carefully stir in beets to heat through.
