  • Mix seasonings together.

  • In a large pot, brown ground beef, until no pink is left. Place in a colander and rinse with hot water to remove excess fat. Return to pot

  • Add seasoning mix and all other ingredients except corn and beans if using. Simmer for 2 hours.

  • Add beans and corn during last 20 minutes of cooking, if using

  • OPTIONAL: You can add 2 16 oz cans of corn drained, and/or 2 16 oz cans of black beans, drained. Reduce amount of ground beef if desired. You can also substitute ground turkey.

  • * I use frozen chopped onion and bell pepper mix if I am in a hurry.

  • ** If you are watching your sodium intake omit the salt and add 6 teaspoons of seasoning mix when making chili.
