Ginger Soy Dressing

- 2 T. *canola oil 30 ml shopping list
- 2 T. *sesame oil 30 ml shopping list
- 1 T. *ginger, minced 15 ml shopping list
- 1 T. *garlic, minced 15 ml shopping list
- 2 C. *Tamari 500 ml shopping list
- 1 C. honey 250 ml shopping list
- dash Anise, ground - shopping list
- 1/4 C. water 50 ml shopping list
- 2 T. water 30 ml shopping list
- 1 T. cornstarch 15 ml shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium pot, heat oils over medium heat and add garlic and ginger and cook 5 minutes.
- Add beans, tamari, honey, anise and first amount of water (1/4 C.). Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook 10 minutes.
- Whisk second amount (2 T.) of water with cornstarch and slowly whisk into hot sauce. Cook 2 minutes until sauce thickens
- Remove from heat and cool completely.
- Variation: Add 1 T. chopped fermented black beans to mixture.
- Note: Dressing keeps well for 3 weeks.
