From wylddwoman 12 years agoIngredients
- 2 lbs. 80/20 ground sirloin (or better) shopping list
- sea salt shopping list
- fresh cracked pepper shopping list
- 1 Tbsp herbs de Province shopping list
- Sesame seed or onion hamburger buns shopping list
- butter shopping list
- garlic powder shopping list
How to make it
- Bring the meat to room temperature.
- Preheat the grill, preferably using Hickory or Mesquite wood charcoal.
- Season beef with 2 large pinches sea salt, fresh cracked pepper, and Herbs de Province and mix with hands to combine evenly.
- Form into 4 patties 3/4 to 1 inch thick patties.
- Butter the buns and sprinkle with garlic powder. Set near the grill to allow butter to start melting into the bread.
- Once the grill is very hot, put the burgers on, and sear (with the lid closed) for 2 minutes on each side.
- Break up the charcoal to reduce the heat to medium/medium low, and grill the burgers for another 15 minutes, turning halfway through. (Cook longer for a more well-done burger.)
- About 5 minutes before the burgers are done, place the buns butter side down until they are lightly toasted.
- Build your burger to your liking and enjoy!
