How to make it

  • 1. Cut the pork chop into 1 cm thick and pound the pork chop with the back of a knife till tender
  • 2. In a bowl, add in marinade except corn flour, mix well and leave for 30 minutes.
  • 3. Add in the corn flour to the pork chop and mix well.
  • 4. Heat up oil for deep-frying.
  • 5. Put in the pork chops and deep-fry till golden brown and cooked
  • 6. Dish and drain on paper towel
  • 7. In another small bowl, combine the ingredients for the sauce
  • 8. Leave about 1 tbsp of oil in the wok, sauté onion (skip this step if no onion use)
  • 9. Pour in the sauce and cook till you get a thick texture
  • 10. Add in pork chops and mix well

    I would love to try these - but I have two questions... can I just pan saute the chops instead of deep frying or even cut in strips for stir fry? And what is custard powder? Is it used for added flavor or added texture? I am not familiar with it.
