Nutella Sandwich Cookies
From fattening_up 12 years agoIngredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened shopping list
- 1/2 cup nutella shopping list
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract shopping list
- 3 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt shopping list
- Approx. 1/4 cup heavy cream shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a baking sheet and set aside.
- 2. Beat together the butter, Nutella, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla and beat until well incorporated.
- 3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and sea salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing on low speed, until the dough begins to come together. If the dough seems dry and crumbly, add a small amount of heavy cream until the dough comes together.
- 4. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and roll it out to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use a cookie cutter to cut shapes out of the dough and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet.
- 5. Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes. Let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets, and then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- 6. Frost cookies or spread nutella on one cookie and cover it with another. Enjoy!
