Mt. Vernon Icing

From Uncle Pheadrus site. Needed an icing to make brownies with funny faces with neon icing ! for my far away Grand Kids! So easy fast incredibly delish and doesn't depend on fat to attain
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons shortening (crisco butter-flavored) shopping list
- 2 Table. butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon almond extract shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt. shopping list
- Blend above ingredients together well. shopping list
- 9 cups sifted confectioners sugar shopping list
- 9 Tablespoons scalded cream ( lowfat soy milk) shopping list
- Sift a couple of cups of sugar into the butter/extract mixing it in and adding a Tablespoons or so of the cream. shopping list
- Beat with a wooden spoon until smooth and silky. citrus zests would be nice . shopping list
- I don't believe I used all the sugar, and I know I didn't use but half the cream. shopping list
