How to make it

  • Heat medium saucepan and add oil.
  • Saute onion and carrots for a few minutes, then add garlic and celery. Season well with salt and pepper. Cook until onion is soft and golden.
  • Add tomatoes, herbs and red pepper flakes.
  • Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes, until sauce is quite thick.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning to taste.
