How to make it

  • Preheat to 350 degrees
  • DOUGH
  • 1. Freeze butter before hand and chop it coarsely
  • 2.In a food processor, add in chopped frozen butter and pulse to sandy texture.
  • 3.mix together cold water with vinegar and add half of mixture to the butter and flour
  • 4. Pulse for 10 seconds.
  • 5. Add in remaining water mixture and pulse until crumbly; yet when pinched, it holds together.
  • 6. Working quickly turn out crumbly dough onto clean surface. Knead just until everything comes together.
  • 7. Wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 40 minutes.
  • FILLING
  • 1. Mix corn syrup, brown sugar, and softened butter well.
  • 2.mix vanilla and beaten egg together and pour into (1). Mix thoroughly.
  • -Take out dough, mould in muffin tin and bake it in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes, until a light yellow colour, remove and add in filling (MAKE SURE NOT TO OVERFILL OR ELSE IT WILL BURN) 1 tablespoon - 1 1/2 tablespoon of filling each and bake in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes.
