Spiced Sweet Banana Chips

- 3 unripened bananas(Skin should be green) shopping list
- 1 cup jaggery(crushed/powdered) shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 1 tsp rice shopping list
- 1 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1-2 pinch dry ginger powder shopping list
- 1-2 pinch cumin powder shopping list
- 2-3 pinch cardamom powder shopping list
- oil for deep frying shopping list
How to make it
- Peel the bananas, split them into half vertically and dice them into less then 1/4 inch.
- Add them in cold water for half an hour and drain them. Gently dab them in a paper towel.
- Heat oil in a vessel and fry them in medium heat till golden brown.
- Once all the chips are fried, remove excess of oil on them using a paper towel.
- Fry the rice in a vessel till it puffs a bit and remove it to cool down.
- Combine rice, sugar, dry ginger powder, cumin powder in a food processor to form a powder.
- In the mean time heat jaggery and water in the same vessel in medium heat, keep on stirring.
- Heat till it reaches medium- thick consistency, add cardamom powder and mix well.
- Turn off the heat. Add the fried chips and mix it well.
- Now add the rice and sugar powder and stir again well. Transfer it on a plate and separate the chips if they are sticking to one another.
- Allow it to cool and serve.
- Store it in air tight container, it stays good more than for 3-4 weeks.
