World's Best Brownies

- 100 g unsalted butter shopping list
- 100 g high quality dark chocolate shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 225 g granulated sugar shopping list
- 50 g plain flour (sifted) shopping list
- 1 pinch of salt shopping list
- 10 ml freshly boiled instant coffee shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
How to make it
- 1. First, melt the butter, chocolate and coffee together in a ban marie until fully melted and well combined. Leave to cool for 5 mins. While the chocalatey goo cools, pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and line a large baking tray with parchment/ baking paper
- 2. Next, add the flour, sugar, eggs, baking powder and salt to the chocolatey goo and mix well until all is combined and the mixture is smooth with no lumps.
- 3. Evenly spread the mixture onto the tray and place in the oven for 12 minutes, or until firm and a tooth pick comes out with just a bit of goo on it.
- 4. leave the tray to cool, or alternatively, cut the 12 portions now and serve warm with vanilla ice cream and strawberry coulis.
