Organic Applesauce

- 8-10 organic apples (if using Granny Smiths, add a Red Delicious for every 4 Grannies) shopping list
- 1-2 C. filtered water shopping list
How to make it
- Peel and slice apples (about 8 slices per apple).
- Place in large pot with water (not enough to cover).
- Boil until just softened.
- Place apples and a very small amount of the water into food processor or blender. Blend about 30 seconds. (Do not puree unless you're making it for a baby.)
- Store in airtight container in the fridge. (If storing in glass, bring down to room temperature before refrigerating.)
- Makes 1 to 1 1/2 quarts.
- Note, once blended, you can stir in a teaspoon of cinnamon if you like. We prefer it without.
