Ryan's Pork Chili
From lanthanaas 12 years agoIngredients
- 1-2 Lbs cubed ham or ground pork (I cut up leftover spiral-cut, honey-baked ham for this) shopping list
- 2 cans kidney beans shopping list
- 2 cans black beans shopping list
- 1 can stewed Mexican tomatoes shopping list
- 1 can corn shopping list
- 5 jalapenos, diced* shopping list
- 5 red chili peppers, diced* shopping list
- 1 green bell pepper, diced shopping list
- 1 red bell pepper, diced shopping list
- 1 onion, diced shopping list
- 1 1/2 packet taco seasoning shopping list
- 1/2 C honey mustard shopping list
- 1/2 C horseradish sauce shopping list
- 1/4 C brown sugar shopping list
- 1-2 cans of water shopping list
How to make it
- Put all the ingredients (other than the water) in the crock pot and mix it thoroughly. Cook it on high for 4-8 hours until everything is pretty soft and the flavors have mixed. Stir regularly adding water as it boils down if it is getting too potent for your taste. I like to cook it long to give it a little bit of a burned, barbecue flavor, but that's my taste, so check it to see if it tastes done to you.
- *My wife and I like this pretty spicy. Use more or less of jalapenos and red chili peppers to make it more or less spicy.
